George Hollingbery MP attends our successful open day

An open day was held on Saturday 21 April 2012 for Best Practice, a new state of the art private healthcare facility in Waterlooville. The event, was attended by George Hollingbery MP, gave members of the local community the opportunity to tour the new building and meet some of the healthcare professionals and staff from the new facility, which is located at 1st floor, 26-30 London Road, Cowplain, Waterlooville.

George Hollingbery MP commented: “Best Practice is a fantastic asset for Cowplain and the surrounding area. Not only is there now a wonderful new Doctors’ surgery but a whole raft of other facilities.  In due course this will mean fewer trips to QA for clients as more routine procedures are done at Healhspace South.  On top of all that there will be an NHS dentist and community facilities. This really is the medical facility of the future and my heartfelt congratulations go out to all the team who have put it together.”

Best Practice, which officially opened on 6th February 2012, will provide the local community of Waterlooville and the surrounding area with an accessible, high quality range of integrated private and NHS healthcare services under one roof. These will include: x-ray facilities, NHS dental practice, physiotherapy, chiropractor, rapid access sports injury clinic (run by orthopaedic surgeons), and alternative therapies including hypno-banding and microdermabrasion, as well as many specialised consultant-led clinics covering all aspects of health. These services will be offered to patients in a clean, comfortable and relaxing environment. Car parking is available and the facility is served by excellent local transport links.

The realisation of this important new private health facility is thanks to the close working relationship between two entrepreneurial GPs, Dr. Tim Wright and Dr. Michael Johns of Cowplain Family Practice with Steve Minion, Director of Ashley House plc, a national organisation which offers health and social care property solutions across the UK.

Julieanne Page, operational manager comments: “the new medical facility will provide a fantastic opportunity for GPs, consultants, patients and staff to come together in the development of a combined approach to local private and NHS health issues in stylish and modern surroundings.”

(Please note: From 2018 we no longer offer x-rays)
