Menopause Clinic

The Menopause Package from £300

The menopause is the time in a woman’s life when her menstrual periods stop. It typically occurs between the age of 45 and 55 years of age and it affects all women.

Before the menopause a woman’s periods are usually irregular and a variety of symptoms can be experienced such as hot flushes which can last from 30 seconds to ten minutes and may be associated with shivering, sweating and redness of the skin.

Other effects of the menopause can include symptoms relating to:

  • Urogenital, such as vaginal dryness
  • Skeletal
  • Skin
  • Breasts
  • Psychological, from trouble sleeping to mood changes
  • Sudden and excessive hair growth.

The severity of the symptoms varies betweeen women.

The menopause package gives you the opportunity to discuss your personal symptoms with a Consultant.  The Consultant Gynaecologist may carry out a full examination, if appropriate, to assess any menopausal changes. The Consultant will be able to advise and guide you on how best to manage your individual symptoms.

Where clinically indicated the Consultant may carry out a blood hormone profile or an ultrasound investigation to assess your womb and your ovaries.

You will be given an opportunity to discuss the options of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) treatments at Best Practice and whether this would be suitable to treat your symptoms, or whether other non-hormone alternatives would be more suitable for your specific condition.
